To celebrate 30 years of Armenia’s independence, the “Eye for an Eye” doc community announces a contest of non-fiction works on the subject of “My (Armenian) ancestors.”
The work can be a film, a song or text in Armenian, English or Russian. The author needs to present his or her Armenian roots, his or her ancestors.
The chosen works will be translated and published on our website, and three authors will receive monetary prizes of 75,000 AMDs each.
Seeking answers to the following questions may help the author on his or her creative path:
1) Where were my ancestors from?
2) What was their character arc, their journey?
3) What dreams, goals, and ideas did they have?
4) In which ways do I resemble them?
5) What would they think of today’s Armenia?
6) What were their hopes for and expectations of their descendants?
Send your works to community@aknandakan.org before September 14th.
Any questions? Send them to the abovementioned email of call +374 99 200 645.
