“Eye For an Eye” doc community announces a contest of non-fiction works “Scenes of Childhood. Then and Now.”

The submissions may be non-fiction films, photo stories, songs or text. Photo stories must include captions. 

The works must be based on facts, but participants may experiment with creative approaches to the material. 

The author must tell about himself or herself, his or her childhood and connect it to the present. Three best works will receive prizes, 80.000 AMD ($165) each. 

Some of these topics may be useful in getting the creative juices flowing:

  • My toys, childhood games
  • My friends
  • My school
  • My school crushes
  • My quarrels and fights
  • My dreams
  • My university
  • Subcultures around me
  • My childhood and motherland
  • The political changes at the time 
  • How my environment changed as I grew up
  • Changes in cuisine
  • Changes in fashion
  • New friend groups
  • Family gatherings
  • What I learned from my parents
  • The habits and lifestyle of my parents
  • My experience at summer camp
